LATEST: 4 MCO States Including Selangor Changed To CMCO Status Starting March 5

The government through the National Security Council (MKN) Special Session has decided to end the Movement Control Order (MCO) in four states, namely Selangor, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Johor, and Penang starting March 5.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, said the decision was made on the advice of the Ministry of Health Malaysia following cases showing declining and declining rates of infection apart from cluster cases and declining community cases.

Earlier, the Movement Control Order (MCO) remained implemented in the states of Selangor, the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Johor, and Penang until March 4.

Meanwhile, the states of Kedah, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Pahang, Terengganu, Kelantan, Sabah, Federal Territory of Putrajaya, and Labuan changed their status to CMCO until March 4 with Perlis being the only state whose status was changed to RMCO.
