KBS’s River Where the Moon Rises recently has found a replacement for actor Ji Soo. Mr. Queen’s Na In Woo has taken the actor’s role in the KBS drama.
Ji Soo left the drama due to recent school bullying accusations. Na In Woo took over the role of On Dal. KBS had planned on editing On Dal out as much as possible from episodes 7 and 8. But due to the tremendous efforts of the other cast members in reshooting scenes without pay, Na In Woo made his first appearance in episode 7, which aired yesterday, March 8.
According to Nielsen Korea, the March 8 episode recorded average nationwide ratings of 6.7 and 8.7 percent. This is relatively similar to last episode‘s ratings of 6.6 and 9.2 percent and is a promising start for the drama despite the major change in casting.
Na debuted with a minor role in the comedy Twenty in 2015 and starred in several TV and web series, including tvN’s Mystic Pop-up Bar (2020). The drama gained positive reception for the change. Especially since Na In Woo was in the recently concluded Mr. Queen, which is also a massive hit worldwide.
