(Video) Announce New Release Date, ‘Black Adam’ Takes Over New York City’s Times Square

New York City Times Square put up the theatrical display for Black Adam’s teaser yesterday. Star of the upcoming movie Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson shared the release in NYC on his Instagram. The screens suddenly turned black before a flash of lighting showed Black Adam logo.

“A disruptive and unstoppable global force of a message from the man in black himself,” said Dwayne on the Instagram post.

“The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change,” he added.

Black Adam is a spin-off to the 2019 Shazam! from DCEU. The movie follows Black Adam’s anti-hero journey. He got powers before Billy Batson, the protagonist in Shazam!.

The upcoming DC film will include members of the Justice Society of America, including Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo), Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell) and Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan). The original release date was December this year. But pandemic delayed the release.

The movie is planned to release on July 29, 2022.
