What Can Be Said About ‘Diary of A Wimpy Kid: Wrecking Ball’

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Wrecking Ball is a children’s novel written by the one and only Jeff Kinney and it is actually the fourteenth book in the amazing Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. It was released on 5th November of 2019. In this book, the protagonist that is Greg Heffley’s family receives an inheritance and uses the money to renovate their house. Wrecking Ball is a great reading material as it received a lot of positive reviews from critics.

This time around, the theme of this particular book is Greg trying to let go of his childhood home. He found that the best way to open the book would be to have Greg clean out his closet and try to sell objects at a yard sale, reflecting him letting go of his childhood possessions.

For this book, an unexpected inheritance gives Greg Heffley’s family a chance to make big changes to their house. But they soon find that home improvement isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Once the walls come down, all sorts of problems start to crop up.

Rotten wood, toxic mold, unwelcome critters, and something even more sinister all make Greg and his family wonder if the renovations are worth the trouble. When the dust finally settles, readers have to read it themselves to know will Heffleys be able to stay or will they need to get out of town.

This book brings a more cohesive continuous journey for the family and it might be the most exciting edition ever because this could be a very big change for Greg Heffley’s family.
