“Will Provide 7 Days of Paid Leave To Eligible KPMGians…” – KPMG Malaysia

Currently, Malaysia is still working on the first phase of the vaccination program where there are still providing the vaccine towards all the frontliners in the country. Because of that, an initiative named MyVAC (Malaysia Vaccine Support Volunteers) has been established. It is actually a collaboration between the Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation (MOSTI), Ministry of Youth & Sports (KBS), Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), and also the Red Crescent Society Malaysia (MRCS).

MyVAC initiative is to help in the launch of the government immunization program by placing individuals who are willing to serve on the vaccination team. The government has also established MySukarela which is a volunteer program just to support the implementation of the MyVac program. To support the noble cause, KPMG Malaysia also has announced that their firm will be providing seven days of paid leave to all eligible KPMGians who sign up as a volunteer for this program.

KPMG employee who wanted to willingly volunteer for the program, there are requirements that must be followed such as:

  • 18 years or above.
  • Healthy without any comorbidities.
  • No close contact with COVID-19 patients during the past 14 days.
