KUALA TERENGGANU, April 14 — Six offices at the Seri Iman Complex here have been closed for three days beginning today, after 11 positive COVID-19 cases were detected in the administrative centre building.
The closure involved the Terengganu Religious Affairs Department (JHEAT), Terengganu Islamic Affairs and Malay Customs Council (Maidam), State mufti office, Kuala Terengganu District and Land Office and the Kuala Terengganu and Kuala Nerus District Religious Offices.
State Health director, Dr Nor Azimi Yunus when contacted today said, the premises were ordered to close for sanitisation purposes as provided under Section 18 (1) (1) (d) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342).
To date, there are 177 active COVID-19 cases in Terengganu. All patients are in stable condition and are receiving the standard treatment.
