Just Because of Cockroaches, This Couple Change Houses 18 Times In 3 Years

Cockroaches are vermin and not many of us would welcome them in our homes. Unless you have a serious hygiene problem. Most of us are afraid of these creepy crawlers. But most of us would just simply hit it with broomsticks or use cockroach repellents. But have you heard of someone who would move out of a house just because of it?

A couple in Bhopal, India has shifted 18 houses in 3 years due to the wife’s extreme fear of cockroaches. Katsaridaphobia – an extreme fear of cockroaches causes them to be in that predicament. One day, after their wedding in 2017 the woman screamed after seeing a cockroach and refused to go back into the kitchen. She insisted they find a new home.

This continues 17 more times until the husband finally loses patience and files for divorce. He took her to several psychiatrists, including one at All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), but the woman allegedly refuses to take the prescribed treatments. This drove them apart, causing the husband to call it quits.

This problem between the couple ultimately due to her refusal to get treatment for the phobia. Hence, it is important for people to realize that mental health needs to be treated and to have more concern over their partner.
