K-Drama Version of ‘So I Married An Anti-Fan’ Finally Confirms Broadcast Date

Hit Chinese movie based on a popular webtoon, So I Married An Anti-Fan will get a K-drama remake starring Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung and Choi Tae Joon in leading roles. The release date is on April 30 on online platforms including Naver TV, Viki, and iQiyi.

The Chinese version stars EXO’s Chanyeol and Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun. Adding Sooyoung in this Kdrama remake is an interesting casting choice. Seohyun in the Chinese version played a villain. Now, Sooyoung, the tallest member of the Girls’ Generation will play the main character.

The story revolves around the relationship between a Kpop star and his anti-fan. With the classic hate-to-love trope, this uses the modern-day trend of fandom and celebrity obsession.

Choi Tae Joon will play the role of Hoo Joon, a world-famous superstar who appears cold-hearted on the outside, but is actually very pure and carries the pain of his first love within his heart. Sooyoung will play the role of Lee Geun Young, a magazine reporter who becomes Hoo Joon’s anti-fan after he ruins her life.

The drama also stars 2PM’s Chansung in the role of JJ, a chaebol and CEO of an entertainment agency. Han Ji An will play the role of Oh In Hyung, a rising movie star. Kim Min Gyu will play the role of Go Soo Hwan, Lee Geun Young’s photographer friend.
