K-Pop Star Hides His Face Behind Long Bangs For A Year, Until He Cuts It Off

A member of a popular South Korean K-pop group, OnlyOneOf has been getting a lot of attention because of his unusual hairstyle. With long bangs that completely cover the upper half his face, including his eyes he has been getting attention.

Junji (준지) is one of the seven members of OnlyOneOf, an all-male K-pop group founded in 2019. He stands out easily due to his long blonde bangs. He’s been sporting the bizarre hairstyle since January 2020, and has managed to generate quite a lot of buzz in the entertainment industry. Some speculates that Junji is trying to conceal his looks because he wants fans to like him for more than just looks. Others simply assumes that he is not as attractive as the other members.

It is understandable since physical beauty is a big part of Korean culture, even to the point of toxicity. Even if his intentions is to hide his face, the hairstyle definitely generates lots of buzz for the group. Initially, he wanted to keep the style only for a couple of weeks. However, the hair causes immense publicity for the group so he decided to keep it for longer.

“I initially didn’t like this hair, but since many people recognized me because of it, I’m afraid if I don’t do this hair now, they won’t recognize me,” the OnlyOneOf member said.

However, the attention with that hairstyle comes with a caveat. He finds it hard to see in front of him. It comes to the point of his band mates have to hold his hands when they walk on stage. He can only looks at the floor from behind the bangs when doing dance routines.

But recently, Junji decided not to sport the signature bangs anymore. His handsome face is now visible and he can see clearly where he is walking.
