It was a success and received 4.4o out of 5 from 280,306 ratings and 33,859 reviews.

Kirkus wrote a review about this book that goes, “This story is moving. It will make you think about things that are uncomfortable to think about. It will lift your heart, devastate you at times, make you proud, fill you with sorrow and make you smile. It will move you. It’s powerful and intense in the best way, but also has hopeful and lighter moments. The story itself is one that has been heavy on my heart from the moment I finished it.”

What Is It About

Lily Bloom grew up watching her father abusing her mother. That is one of the reasons why she wanted to leave Maine so much. She graduated from college and moved to Boston to start her own business. Luck was on her side when she met a gorgeous neurosurgeon, Ryle Kincaid. They had the sparks and suddenly, their life was almost too good to be true. It was perfect but the image of Atlas Corrigan, her first-ever love is still in the back of her mind. He was her comfort in the form of a human, her protector. A dark memory she kept buried deep.

When Atlas suddenly reappears in her life, her stable relationship was threatened. Ugly and scary truths unfolded as she tries to choose what is best for her.
