A Man In Thailand Brought An Injured Cockroach To The Vet For A Treatment

A Facebook posting made by a veterinarian from Krathum Baen, Thailand shared photos of an unusual case. It is a cockroach that was brought in after being stepped on.

Thanu Limpapattanawanich, a doctor from Thailand, found himself handling a unique patient. A man came in with an injured cockroach. They had witnessed the cockroach being stepped on by someone else. Although it was an accident, the person could not leave the insect to die on the side of the road.

The cockroach was brought to the Sai Rak Animal Hospital. Dr. Limpapattanawanich took the injured insect and treated it for free.

“Emergency case last night Someone stepped on a cockroach lying on the side of the road. Just then, a kind man walked past and saw it, so he rushed to take him to the veterinary hospital urgently. Survival chances are now 50/50,” the veterinarian wrote. “This is not a joke. This indicates compassion and pity towards every creature Every life is precious… I wish there were more people like this in the world…Kindness supports the world.”

“I allowed the man to bring the cockroach back to take care of it. No treatment fee was charged at all,” Dr. Limpapattanawanich said.

There wasn’t an update about the cockroach’s condition but the simple gesture of actually prioritizing the insect’s life touched the hearts of many others after the Facebook post went viral.
