The commencement of ‘total lockdown’ in Malaysia has started officially on the 1st of June 2021 and it will last for the period of two weeks until the 14th of June 2021. Throughout these important times to help flatten the curve of COVID-19 infection in Malaysia, there would definitely be a lot of roadblocks all across Malaysia. These roadblocks function to help make sure all the Malaysians stay at home and do not travel around as they like.
If you ever have to go through these roadblocks, never be rude towards the authorities that are working to guard at the roadblock area. This is because they are also ordinary human beings who put their duties and responsibilities first before their own safety. On the contrary, try to practice these manners while going through roadblocks.
Manners While Going Through Roadblocks:
- Slow down your vehicle at the “Stop Police Inspection” sign.
- Open the window or door of your vehicle. You can also open the lights in the vehicle if you don’t want to be hit by a flashlight that will hurt your eyes.
- Give greetings as a sign of respect and thanks.
- Give a smile to them and be polite.
- Answer questions respectfully and in an orderly manner.
- Turn off the lights or do not use high lights at night.
