The measure of your love towards your cats depends on how well you feed them. This might be hard because different pets need different kinds of foods that are good for them to remain healthy. There are common foods that can actually affect our feline companions’ health.

Here is the list of top 5 foods that you should avoid at all costs:

5) Raw Meat and Fish

Raw Meat and Fish are somehow one of the common cat foods but the truth is, the raw foods are likely to contain bacteria that can cause a lot of diseases. Cooking the food beforehand would be good as it can kill the dangerous bacterias.

After the meat or fish are cooked, it is safe for your cats to eat them.

4) Chocolate

Eating chocolate benefits us in a lot of ways but not for your cats. Certain ingredients of chocolate can be toxic to cats especially theobromine and caffeine. These ingredients can trigger conditions such as vomiting, increased heart rate, and seizures. The condition can be severe if the consumption of chocolate is high.

3) Dairy Products

We often see milk in a bowl next to a cat’s kibbles but did you know? Dairy products are not good for cats. This is because of the lactose found in milk. There is only so much disaccharide sugar that a cat’s body can efficiently process and the amount of that sugar in dairy products exceed it. So, if your cats regularly consume dairy products especially in high amounts, it could lead to worse health conditions.

2) Tuna

Everyone knows that cats love eating fishes. But as the owner, you should be careful with the amount of fish, especially, tuna that you choose to feed your cats. Tuna is one of the fish that is high in unsaturated fats and mercury. Too much tuna can make your cats sick so you have to give it in a moderate amount.

Cat and dogs can get along if they are trained properly but still, they cannot share the same food.

This is because each animal demands different nutrients and vitamins. Cats need vitamin and high-level proteins, different than a dog. By eating dog foods, it can cause nutrient deficiency and lead to several complicated conditions.
