“Sugoi!” – Animals Got Transformed To Anime-Like Characters By This Korean Artist

Anime is hand-drawn and computer animation originating from Japan. In Japan, anime describes all animated works regardless of style or origin. However, outside of Japan and in English, anime is colloquial for Japanese animation and refers specifically to animation produced in Japan. Anime usually got amazing features to look at.

Another stunning feature that usually could catch the attention of many people would be from the animal. That is why this particular Korean artist named Nitro has creatively combined both of these aspects of animal and also anime to produce an outstanding outcome of drawings.

Nitro recently did a series of illustrations that try to depict domestic and wild animals like big cats, dogs, birds, and others as original characters you’d expect to see in animation. It’s not hard to imagine that the hardest part of it is to transform it into a new style while keeping the unique characteristics intact. These are some of the drawings:

There’s an unexpected benefit to Nitro’s work that we don’t think he considered. His original characters raise awareness about certain wildlife species that have become endangered. Though anime and classical Western animation have a lot in common, there are some key differences as well. For one, classical Western animation focuses more on character motion, while anime gives more attention to character and background design.
