Aaron-Wooi Yik Stun Indonesian Pair To Advance To Last Four

TOKYO, July 29  — National top men’s doubles pair Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik advanced to the semi-finals in spectacular fashion as they stunned Indonesian top seeds Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo-Marcus Fernaldi Gideon at the Tokyo Olympics, here, today.

Ninth-seeded Aaron-Wooi Yik switched on the attack mode to dispatch the Indonesians 21-14, 21-17 in just 33 minutes at the Musashino Forest Sport Plaza here.

This is Aaron-Wooi Yik’s first-ever win over the Indonesians in eight meetings since their first encounter in the 2018 Malaysia Open.
