Book Review: ‘Longing For God’s Closeness’, A Must Read Book For Muslims

The author, Ayesha Syahira is a young accountancy graduate who eventually found love in spreading dakwah. She dreams to be the next Yasmin Mogahed of Malaysia. Other than her written and published books, her tagged Quran would be one of the things that she always carries around. She has always being asked about her Quran and in 2017, she started her own Quran Tag workshop. It was a success and she was offered to start the Quran Tag program in 2018 on Astro. Ever since that, she is known as ‘#qurantaggirl’.

Published by IMAN Production in 2021, this book landed a place as one of the bestselling non-fiction books on MPH Online.

She tells about her way to strengthen her relationship with God and her struggles to be fully content and at peace during her prayers. She also shares her reflections and knowledge on finding true beauty in solah through patience, effort, and determination.
