Shop Review: ‘The Comedy Kitchen’ Delivers Pizzas With Chucklesome Names

Crackhouse Comedy Club KL is among those affected during the ongoing lockdown. Located in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, this club held nightly shows since 2014 alongside local and international comics, such as Douglas Lim, Paul Ogata, Joanne Kam, Gina Yashere, and a lot more.

To survive, The Crackhouse Comedy Club has been offering food takeaways and deliveries service. The co-founder, Rizal Van Geyzel took three months to come up with a new and unusual pizza menu that resembles the club’s identity.

The new menu offers local’s favorites chicken and pesto pizza with the name ‘Ayam what I am’, ‘Sambal, yet effective’ which is beefy pizza with sambal and cheese on top, and the special one, ‘Mary also had a big one’, a slow-roasted lamb leg pizza.

Their pizzas are made in-house with a sugarless dough-based and the ingredients they used are fresh and came from scratch.

Other than pizzas, there are also delicious chicken wings tossed in sour cream and garlic glaze, under the name ‘Sarong party chicks’. As for the treats, ‘The Underground cookie’ is a classic cookie but made better with the addition of burnt butter.

With each order, it comes with a QR code of a one-min comedy special made by their international headliners such as Imran Yusuf, Paul Ogata, Lars Callieou, Jason Leong, Kavin Jay, and Rizal van Geyzel himself.
