Tottenham Hotspur Name Nuno Espirito Santo As Their New Manager

Tottenham Hotspur ended their search for a new manager after confirming the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo to the post. The news was announced 72 days after the sacking of Jose Mourinho as the club’s manager, last April.

Nuno, a former Wolves manager, was announced as Spurs’ head coach on a contract until 2023.

Spurs chose Nuno after several negotiations with several other managers failed to reach for the selection of the post. Earlier, former managers Mauricio Pochettino, Antonio Conte, and Gennaro Gattuso were among those touted to fill the vacancy.

The 47 -year -old Nuno promised to give all players a chance to improve themselves.

In addition to Wolves, the clubs Nuno once managed were Valencia, Rio Ave, and Porto.

“When you have a squad with quality and talent, we want to make the fans proud and enjoy.

“It’s an enormous pleasure and honor, there’s joy and I’m happy and looking forward to starting work. We don’t have any days to lose and we must start working immediately as pre-season starts in a few days,” said Nuno in a statement.
