A Singaporean professional wrestler has reportedly been recruited by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), the world’s largest wrestling promotion. According to Mothership, the wrestler named Sean Tan is an alumnus of Singapore Pro Wrestling (SPW).
On July 2, Tan was featured in an article on the WWE website, announcing that he had reported for training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
Tan is part of a group of new recruits, which also includes two Chinese athletes that is Feicheng Wang and Jie Yin. As stated by the WWE article, it also mentions Tan’s career at SPW, where he competed under the name Trexxus and won the Southeast Asia Championship.
Tan also shared a post about the news on his Facebook page.
“To the believers, thank you, and don’t stop supporting the dreamers. To the doubters, thank you and it’s never too late to start,” Tan said in his post.
Interestingly, Tan also appeared in a segment on a recent WWE NXT episode. He played as a security guard at the scene alongside fellow wrestlers named Cameron Grimes and LA Knight.
