(Video) The 18th Anniversary of ‘Koi… Mil Gaya’ And 5 Interesting Facts About It!

Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan, on Sunday, marked 18 years of his National Award-winning sci-fi movie ‘Koi…Mil Gaya’ by sharing a social media post, wishing the film’s iconic character ‘Jaadoo’ a happy birthday. Also known as KMG, is a 2003 Indian Hindi-language science fiction film directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan. It stars Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta, with Rekha in a supporting role and Rakesh Roshan in a cameo appearance.

‘Jaadoo’ is definitely a miracle”, said Rakesh Roshan, the film’s director and Hrithik Roshan’s father. Jaadoo was merely 3 when he entered Rohit’s life in the ‘Koi…Mil Gaya’ movie. 18 years have passed by, he turns 21 today. “Sometimes, I wonder how he would look like today”, said Hrithik Roshan. These are 5 interesting facts about it.

  1. Indravardan Purohit was actually the famous dwarf actor who played the iconic role of ‘Jaadoo’ in the movie with an animatronic headgear. Unfortunately, he passed away on the 28th of September 2014.
  2. The role of Nisha was initially offered to Aishwarya Rai. It went to Preity Zinta after she declined.
  3. Rahit undergoes a drastic physical transformation in the movie. Since Hrithik could not lose weight so quickly, baggy clothes and a special hairstyle was crafted for the look.
  4. The makers had shot two different endings. In the alternate ending, the alien takes away all the powers with him back.
  5. The bullying scene with the cycle was reportedly taken from Hrithik’s own childhood.
