Nowadays, more and more innovation based on digital technology has been created to cater to people’s needs nowadays. Everything in this current era has to be easy to use by many people in this whole wide world. One of them is the MyUBAT app created by the Ministry of Health (MOH) Malaysia. This is such a great innovation created by them.

According to their website, the MyUBAT app was developed for everyone in Malaysia to make it easier for patients to apply pharmacy value-added services through a smartphone without the need to come to the pharmacy counter. This app could be very useful especially during this COVID-19 pandemic situation where direct contact can be dangerous.

These are the simple steps on how to use the MyUbat app:

  1. Download the MyUBAT app from App Store or Play Store.
  2. Click on the log-in for the first-time option.
  3. Fill in your profile with your name, IC number, and phone number. Then, choose your preferred hospital or clinic.
  4. Type in your e-mail and also your password.
  5. Choose between two options. The first is to post the meds and the second is to make an appointment with the pharmacy.
  6. For post, the meds option, only tablet and also capsule meds can be posted. Apply this option 3 days early before you run out of meds. For this option, you have to give your address and also your meds info pics.
  7. For the appointment with the pharmacy option, your meds will be prepared before the date of the appointment. Patients could collect their meds from the counter. Apply this option 1 week before you run out of meds.
