(Video) For A Healthier Hair, Avoid These Mistakes That People Always Do

It’s possible to have a bad hair day! Isn’t that so? And most of the time, the bouncy, voluminous manes models flaunt in hair care advertising seem like a far-fetched dream to you.

Haircare specialists believe that with proper hair care, the idea of having healthy hair can become a reality. While genetics play a part, your food, the weather, pollution, and your overall hair care routine are all important in keeping your crowning beauty in good shape.

So here are four simple things you need to stop if you want a healthier hair

1. Hot showers

Hot showers are good for the body but never for the hair. Hot water can take natural oil from your hair and scalp, leaving it dry and lifeless, in addition to removing grime and greasy build-up. Your hair will appear lifeless and frizzy as a result of this. Using hot water on your hair on a daily basis can make it brittle and porous, resulting in more hair breakage and loss. Hot water increases pores on your skin, weakening your hair roots and worsening hair loss. The best way to rinse your hair is by using cold water or slightly warm water.

2. Not washing your hair

The majority of people believe that washing your hair every day is bad for your hair. However, this isn’t always the case. If your hair is oily or straight, you should wash it every day. Normal to dry hair, as well as wavy hair, may be able to go two to three days without shampooing. If you colour or chemically treat your hair, you might want to consider continuing as long as you can. Shampooing your hair every day isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It doesn’t harm your hair or your scalp in any way. Just make sure to get a nice shampoo and conditioner, and if feasible, go for the ones with the least amount of chemicals.

3. Combing hair while it is wet

Brushing your hair when it’s wet is a bad idea because it’s at its weakest and most subject to breakage, split ends, and damage. It’s best to brush your hair when it’s completely dry. Allowing your hair to air dry after a shower is recommended before beginning to comb through hair strands.

4. Applying condition on the scalp

Never apply conditioner to your hair’s roots because the natural oil from your scalp is more concentrated there. When you apply conditioner to your scalp, it clogs the pores, resulting in hair loss. Your hair, which requires the most hydration, should be conditioned from the mid-lengths to the ends.

If you don’t take care of your hair, it will eventually cease growing. You may notice dandruff, hair loss, dryness, and dullness over time. And you definitely don’t want to experience any of this!
