Kedah Civil Defence Force Disaster Management Committee Secretariat chief Major (PA) Mohd Muaz Mohd Yusof said all evacuees are still seeking shelter at three relief centres in Pendang and Kubang Pasu districts as of this morning.

“In Pendang, 147 victims from 36 families are at Dewan Rakan Sukan, Tanah Merah, while another 55 from 19 families are at Dewan Cenderawasih,” he said in a statement today.

Mohd Muaz said in Kubang Pasu, 85 evacuees from 24 families are still at the Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kampung Tradisi Lembah Keriang relief centre.

He said in preparation for further floods, another relief centre in the district, SK Malau is still operating even though all victims had returned home.
