Grammy Award 2022, Doja Cat And H.E.R Are The Most Nominated Female Artists

The wait is finally over as the 2022 Grammy Award nominations were just announced. Amazingly, some of music’s biggest stars are one step closer to earning the highest honor in music. Something that is to be proud of, H.E.R. and also Doja Cat was the most nominated female artists at this year’s Grammy Awards, with eight nods each.

The Grammy Awards are actually voted on by the Recording Academy’s voting membership body of around 12,000 music makers, who represent all genres and creative disciplines, including recording artists, songwriters, producers, mixers, and also engineers. All of the Grammy nominations really make all the nominated artists feel so proud.

Doja Cat’s Planet Her album was actually nominated for Album of the Year, as well as Best Pop Vocal Album. Her “Kiss Me More”, which is her collaboration with SZA from the album, is up for Best Pop Group/Duo Performance, and “Need to Know” is nominated in the Best Melodic Rap Performance category. Doja Cat earned another nod for her guest spot on the Best Rap Song nominee “Best Friend” by Saweetie, who’s among the Best New Artist nominees.

Another versatile artist and also R&B singer-songwriter. It is none other than H.E.R. She has been nominated for eight awards, including album and song of the year. She also picks up nominations in R&B and contemporary Christian categories, plus a nod for her contribution to the Judas and the Black Messiah soundtrack, Fight For You.
