A grasshopper is actually a group of insects belonging to the suborder Caelifera. It is typically a ground-dwelling insect with powerful hind legs which allow them to escape from threats by leaping vigorously. As hemimetabolous insects, they do not undergo complete metamorphosis, but they hatch from an egg into a nymph or “hopper” which undergoes five molts then becoming more similar to the adult insect at each developmental stage. Steps on how to cook grasshopper:

  1. Wash and rinse the grasshoppers until they are clean.
  2. To know that they are completely clean, the water will be clear when you wash them again.
  3. Get rid of the wings of the grasshoppers.
  4. Prepare the dry ingredients for the recipe.
  5. Blend all the ingredients and cook them.
  6. Throw in the grasshoppers into it.
  7. Wait until the grasshoppers are well-cooked.
