Ways to apply back your ‘sijil nikah’ that got lost during the flood:
- You can apply it at the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (JAWI).
- Complete the ‘Apply Form’ at the ‘Marriage Department’ counter.
- Include a copy of the ‘Identification Card’ and ‘Akuan Sumpah’ letter from the Muslim Commissioner for Oaths with your application form.
- Submit the completed document to the ‘Marriage Department’ counter.
- The certificate could be retrieved after 14 working days.
