Chris Rock Responds To The ‘Oscars Slap’ At A Standup Show

Chris Rock responds to the infamous Will Smith Oscars slap recently. This has been a very long time coming as he got quiet about it after the incident. He finally breaks the silence at a standup show. The show was located in Boston.

As reported on the Variety website, he started the standup show by asking the Boston crowd about their weekend. He then said, “I do not have any clues about what happened, so if you came to hear that, I have a whole show I wrote before this weekend. I am still kind of processing what happened”. He will eventually talk about it in detail very soon.

Nevertheless, he said that it feels very good to be out doing what he does best. He did not focus very much on that incident during his standup show. For an additional fact, Chris Rock denied pressing charges against Will Smith.

As can be listened to from his standup show, he is still not ready to talk about it now. Chris Rock responds to that in a very mature way. He added, “So at some point, I will talk about that incident. And it will be serious and funny”.

Will Smith Slaps Chris Rock At Oscars

Previously, the incident really broke out on the internet all over the world. Will Smith can be seen to be approaching Chris Brock who was presenting an award at that time. He then slapped him in the middle of the stage. Will Smith decided to do that after he made an insensitive joke to Jada Pinkett Smith. People have been talking about it a lot.

Not long after that, Will Smith then won an award and he has apologized to the Academy for what he did. He also has issued an apology to Chris Rock. Will Smith himself actually posted the apology on his own Instagram account.
