Deadly Fashion Trends That People Used To Don Back In Time

Over time, there are so many fashion trends got followed by people. Some of them indeed are deadly fashion trends. Shockingly, people keep on donning them just for the sake of being fashionable. One of the worst parts would be if they continuously wear them just so that they going to fit in the society. That is literally the same as doing suicide.

For those who might not know, these fashion trends have existed for so long already. The number of victims taken due to them also are quite high. Several fashion trends are acceptable but several others are just bizarre and weird.

Deadly Fashion Trends

1) Top Hat

According to the Vox website, mercury nitrate would be involved in the process of making top hats. It then generated toxic mercury vapors that lead to mad hatter disease. Due to that, people that wear top hats suddenly tend to become more aggressive and anti-social. The worst part is that they also have the urge to kill other people.

2) High Collar

This high collar fashion trend is actually so tight when you wear it around your neck. This could block the blood flow to the head area and it is indeed very dangerous. Other than that, the sharp edge of the high collar also can hurt the head of the wearer.

3) Corset

Even though there are mindsets that state corset might have made some women look more beautiful, it is awfully dangerous for them. The corset could make them suffocate. In addition, it also can make your ribs to break, digestion problems, constipation, and also hysteria.

4) Crinoline

This crinoline is usually made with easily flammable material. That is why it is labeled to be one of the most deadly fashion trends. According to the statistics, there would be at least 3 to 5 death per week because of it.

5) Foot Binding

This is the most horrendous thing that you could ever watch happened to people’s leg. When the leg got bound for 2 years or more, the blood flow to the leg could not happen. This will eventually lead to death.
