Kuala Lumpur, 5 July 2022 – New Balance Tokyo Design Studio and Stone Island has presented two new colourways of the SI x NB FuelCell RC Elite v2. The second iteration of this high-performance model features two new colourways that pairs bold neon’s and contrasting, traditional colour palette. One option features an acidic green knit upper, overlaid with burgundy sourced from a classic 574 colourway. The other opts for a vivid red knit upper, overlaid with iconic, New Balance grey.
The Stone Island x TDS FuelCell RC Elite v2’s technology features energy returning FuelCell cushion and a full-length, propulsive carbon fibre plate. Additionally, this latest release includes a lightweight, breathable knit upper paired with synthetic overlays, inspired by the 574. The combination of heritage and futuristic elements give the impression that the contemporary shape of the FuelCell RC Elite v2 is emerging from a classic predecessor.
Tokyo Design Studio New Balance (TDS) played an instrumental role in creating this collaboration. Keeping quality and craftsmanship at the forefront of design and production, TDS leaned into pushing boundaries and testing the latest technology when creating the Stone Island x New Balance FuelCell RC Elite v2.
