Nu Skin Malaysia, Grassroot Education On Sustainability For A Better Future

Leading developer and distributor of premium-quality beauty and wellness solutions, Nu Skin Malaysia celebrated its Force For Good Day 2022 by hosting an educational and interactive workshop. Focusing on the importance of sustainability to advocate a Force for Green Day, Nu Skin partnered up with Biji-biji Initiative, a Malaysian environmental based social enterprise company, providing a range of upcycling and art installation services.

As part of the global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, The Force For Good project in Malaysia aims to support underprivileged children under the care of long term partners, Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) Foundation and Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur that require heart procedure, treatment and/or surgery at the respective hospitals. Focusing on educating the children on the importance of sustainability and how they can start young, the children engaged in sustainable activities such as Garden in the Bottle and Laser-cut Lightbox.

The Garden in the Bottle activity focused on recycling items that revamped used plastic bottles and created a low-maintenance pot plant allowing the kids alongside the Nu Skin team to bond and get creative. Laser-cut Lightbox showcased ways on how children can play with shapes and create a light box that can be used as a night light.

“This year, Nu Skin Malaysia wanted to leverage on nurturing our young children the importance of sustainability. Kids are the future and the best way to cultivate the spirit of sustainability is by starting young,” said Jason Leng, Nu Skin’s Director of Sales & Marketing in Malaysia and Brunei.

“Throughout the years, Nu Skin has saved more than 14,000 children via our Southeast Asia Children’s Heart Fund that started in 1999. As of June 2022, we have successfully saved 618 children in Malaysia alone and this was solely done with our brand affiliates’ monthly 1% commission contribution and continuous support to helping these children,” he added.

As part of an ongoing sustenance for Force For Good Foundation, Nu Skin Malaysia also runs a ‘Wish List Project’ annually for these underprivileged children during the Christmas festive season. Children will write down their wishes where generous Nu Skin Malaysia’s staff members and brand affiliates will then grant their wishes in the form of presents, which include a wide array of toys, clothings and sports equipment.
