1. Kinabalu National Park

2. Sipadan Island
Sipadan Island is rated as one of the top diving sites in the world. Barracuda Point at Sipadan Island is a mesmerizing sight to see. Imagine diving whilst being surrounded by barracudas left and right. Sipadan Island is Malaysia’s only oceanic island, just off the Celebes Sea, and formed by living corals growing on top of a volcanic core.
With over 3000 species of fish and an abundant amount of hawksbill turtles, and not to mention the vast array of colorful corals living there, you can see why it is a hot spot for divers around the world. To get there, you have to ride a 45-60 minute speedboat, which is another adventure by itself. To dive at Sipadan Island, you will need a diving permit which costs around RM140 ringgit.
3.Gunung Mulu National Park
Another world heritage site that you might want to visit in the future is Gunung Mulu, National Park. The park consists of caves and kart formations that shoot up like stone rainforests. Interestingly, Gunung Mulu National Park’s name comes from Mount Mulu, which is the second highest mountain in Sarawak. Also, the park known for its deep caves plastered all over, with over 295km of caves to explore. The price for Malaysian adults is RM15 and Malaysian children is RM5. Children below 5 are free to enter.
4. Taman Negara
Taman Negara is Malaysia’s first and oldest national park. The forest is said to be 130 million years old, making it one of the oldest rainforests in the world. Uniquely, Taman Negara hosts a wide range of species including 15,000 plant species, 675 bird species, and 250 freshwater species. Moreover, Taman Negara is a perfect place for you and your family if you love the rainforest and outdoor activities. The price for park activities can range from upwards of RM160.
5. Seven Wells Waterfall.
What is a better way than spending your school holidays swimming under a mesmerizing waterfall? Also, Seven Wells Waterfall derives its name because of the seven natural pools that are formed by different water streams. Other than that, the water streams flow down from the mountain, which is the second tallest mountain in Langkawi. Seven Wells Waterfall is free for all to enjoy.
6. Rawa Island
Rawa Island is a coral island located in Mersing, Johor. This small tropical island is famous for its coral reefs. Additionally, the island hosts a variety of species of fishes including octopus, sharks, jellyfish, and many more. The only way to get to this island is by speedboats, which take around 30 minutes to get there, or by ferries which take around an hour.
