Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure’s official trailer introduces the renowned character of Sanrio to a live-action realm. For your information, Gudetama is one of the Sanrio line’s most popular new characters. Emi Nagashima created Gudetama in 2013. She placed second in a Sanrio Contest for new characters based on food items. The character appears to be a wobbling egg yolk lying on the whites as if they are sleeping on a mat, too lazy to wake up.
In addition to that, Gudetama has appeared in over 1000 one-minute shorts and on the Japanese morning show Morning chance! In the United States, he’s popular for his merchandise. Gudetama keychains, cups, bowls, and plushes are popular with fans. Also, Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure arrives on Netflix on December 13.
Netflix released the Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure at their TUDUM event for Japan. The trailer also features Shakipiyo, a hatched chick with its eggshell still attached. As eggs with brains of their own, Shakipiyo and Gudetama head out to find their mother. However, Gudetama, obviously doesn’t want to go. You can check the trailer below:
Moreover, it would appear that Akiyoshi’s character is on a mission to eat Gudetama. In addition to the human cast, there will be other CGI characters, majority of them are food products. They appear to surrender themselves to be consumed.
