HappyFresh Shuts Down Operations In Malaysia After 7 Long Years

After 7 long years of operating in Malaysia, HappyFresh has shut down operations in Malaysia permanently. The shutdown will take effect immediately.

The online delivery service delivered its last delivery through a statement on Facebook announcing its departure.

It is said that the reason for the shutdown is the current economic situation. The grocery delivery service seems to be having some problems and going through a reorganization process to deal with its growing debt.

“Over the past 7 years, your trust and support have helped us provide jobs for 850 employees, insurmountable growth for many of our smaller specialty store, and indescribable joy to all HappyFreshers who have had the privilege to deliver groceries to your home.”

Earlier this month, the online grocer suspended its delivery services with no proper explanation. This left customers wondering if they have stopped operations. With today’s statement, customers finally have the answers to their questions.

HappyFresh will continue to operate its online service delivery in Indonesia after they have managed to secure funding from investors. They also stated that they will consider continuing its operations in Thailand and Malaysia.

However, with the statement that they posted today, it seems unlikely that they will continue their services.
