BTS has reached milestones upon milestones of success throughout their ten years in the entertainment industry. After the groundbreaking concert to support Busan’s bid for the World Expo 2030 and the solo activities from the members, they are ready to settle down from the throne of fame.

According to the statement, “Group member Jin will initiate [the military enlistment] as soon as his schedule for his solo release is concluded at the end of October. He will then follow the enlistment procedure of the Korean government.”

BIGHIT MUSIC fully supports Jin’s decision to enlist even though BTS members are given the advantage of postponing their military service. As of 21 June, BTS members have been granted a special deferment for military enlistment. Usually, the maximum age required to enlist is 28 years old. However, as BTS has helped in South Korea’s economic growth, they can enlist at the latest age of 30.

Jin once said in an interview back in 2020, “As a South Korean young man, I believe military service is a natural course. And as I have always said, I will answer the country’s call whenever it comes.”
