The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office reported that the missing Princeton University undergraduate student was found dead on Thursday.

“The victim’s body was found outside on the facilities grounds behind the tennis courts at approximately 1 p.m. on Thursday by a facilities employee,”, said Mercer County prosecutor Angelo Onofri and Princeton University assistant vice president for public safety Kenneth Strother Jr. in a joint statement.

The Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to discover what caused the victim’s death. But they have already concluded that there were “no obvious signs of injury and her death does not appear suspicious or criminal in nature.”

The victim last appearance was at 3 am on Friday at Schully Hall. It is a residential building in the southeast of the suburban New Jersey campus of the Ivy League university.

CBS News reported that on Monday, Princeton University’s Department of Public Safety issued a warning on a missing student.

The vice president stated in a message to Princeton students on Wednesday that the victim’s family had requested a “wellbeing check” the night before. In which campus safety officers make contact with a student’s relative after hearing nothing from them for several days.

“Since the issuance of the Tiger Alert, our campus community has demonstrated an outpouring of support, concern, prayers and hopes for the victim’s well-being and safe return,” The vice president wrote.

“Thank you to everyone for continuing to hold the victim and her family in your thoughts as our search continues.”

Last pinged at 3:30 am

On Wednesday, the victim’s brother told the news that his sister had been sharing her location with a family member via smartphone. Then his sister switched off her phone, which last pinged at 3:30 am.

He informed “Good Morning America” that the last location was near a Penns Neck, New Jersey property. It was a 30-minute walk from her dorm. He said his sister was unusually far from her dorm at late night.

Since Sunday, according to her brother, police have reportedly conducted three searches of the apartment complex at that site. One of it involved the use of police dogs.
