Reduction In Toll Fares On 6 Major Highways In The Klang Valley

The Prime Minister announced a reduction in toll fares on major highways in the Klang Valley. To ease the burden on the people, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced a reduction in toll fees.

In the effort, there are six major highways in the Klang Valley.

At the same time, four highways under the responsibility of Prolintas will also receive the benefit of reduced toll fares starting from October 20. Also, PROLINTAS or Kota Lintasan Project Group Sdn Bhd received the cabinet’s decision on May 18.

Additionally, the four highways that will receive the benefit of reduced toll payments from October 20 are:

  • The Kajang Dispersal Link Expressway (SILK)
  • Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE)
  • Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (Akleh)
  • Kemuning-Shah Alam Highway (LKSA)

Other than that, the rest are highways under the responsibility of IJM Corporation Sdn Bhd, namely:

  • Besraya Highway
  • Kajang-Seremban Highway (Lekas)

Also, each will benefit from reduced toll payments starting on January 1 next year. Cabinet decided on the matter on June 1.

Additionally, Prime Minster will present various initiatives to facilitate the affairs of the people. Moreover, the announcement made by the Prime Minister coincided with the 15th General Election that will take place soon. The election expects to take place next November.
