Selangor’s Chief Minister Invites People, Buy Food At Lower Prices

The people of Selangor are anticipating the cheap sale of fresh chicken, fish and meat near them! Other than that, it is a program governed by Perbadanan Kemajuan Pertanian Selangor (PKPS).

Also, Selangor’s Chief Minister, Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, invites everyone to this event. This is because it is beneficial for the Selangor citizens that are looking for fresh yet affordable raw materials.

The sale begins at 9 am and ends at 1 pm today. Additionally, the chief minister confirms that this program offers low prices for raw materials than the current market price. 

Moreover, on his Facebook page, Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari says, “The people of Selangor should grab this chance to purchase raw materials and other kitchen staples at affordable prices. It is guaranteed that the prices here are cheaper than in the market. Also, it is the courtesy of Jelajah Ehsan Rakyat to make this event happen in the first place.”

According to the infographic, these are the nine locations included in the Jelajah Ehsan Rakyat:

  • Kampung Sungai Nipah (DUN Sungai Panjang)
  • Padang Pangsapuri A1 (DUN Teratai)
  • Taman Semenyih Impian (DUN Semenyih)
  • Hadapan Arif Bistro Seksyen 24 (MPP Zon 8)
  • Balai raya MPKK Kampung Baru Sungai Chua (DUN Balakong)
  • Parkir Madrasah Hajjah Zubaidah Jalan PJS1/52 Petaling Jaya (DUN Taman Medan)
  • Tapak pasar malam Subang 2 (DUN Kota Damansara)
  • Parkir masjid Kampung Sungai Pinang (DUN Sementa)
  • Dataran balai raya MPKK Kampung Jenderam Hulu (DUN Sungai Pelek)

Some of the materials sold are:

  • Whole chicken (Standard size): RM 10
  • Fresh meat (per pack): RM 10
  • Eggs (per carton) RM10
  • Ikan Kembung (Chub Mackeral) or Selayang (Sardine) (per pack): RM 6
  • Cooking oil (5 kg): RM 25
  • Rice (5kg): RM 10

Furthermore, the government state allocates RM 10 million to hold this event around 56 DUNs. It begins from 6 September until 6 December. Hence, there are 160 locations included in this program.
