The Front Wall Of MB Kedah Official Residence Splashed With Paint

Part of the gate and the front wall of the official residence of Menteri Besar Kedah, Seri Mentaloon was splashed with paint by unknown individuals, this morning.

Kota Setar District Police Chief ACP Ahmad Shukri Mat Akhir said his side received information about the incident at about 10 am from members on duty at the guard post of the Menteri Besar’s  official residence.

“The guard post member informed that the incident had not happened when he came to work at 7 o’clock this morning. So, we believe it happened before 9:55 am because the staff on duty only noticed the incident around that time before reporting to the police at 10 am.”

“As a result of the investigation, two plastic bags filled with blue paint and two plastic bags filled with red paints were found around the area of the incident left by the suspect,”

ACP Ahmad Shukri Mat Akhir, Kota Setar District Police Chief

He said his side would examine the CCTV located near the Johor Beach and Alor Merah traffic lights. It’s due to the lack of traffic lights around the residence.

“The forensic team has also conducted an investigation… The case is being investigated according to Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing acts of treachery,” he said.

Ahmad Shukri also reminded the community not to speculate about the incident.
