Dr. Vipul Gupta, Chief of Neurointerventional Surgery and Co-Chief of the Stroke Unit, at Artemis Hospital, Gurugram, agrees that showering before bed improves sleep quality and has other benefits.
Taking a shower before has many benefits, including:
- improving the quality of sleep
- reducing all-day fatigue
- increasing blood flow in the body
- reducing acne and allergies on the skin
It’s better to take a shower with warm water
Dr. Bela Sharma, Additional Director, Internal Medicine, at Fortis Memorial Research Institute said that “taking a warm shower over a period of time is better because it helps if you are tired and/or having muscular pain”. According to her, warm water can help your muscles to relax and also relieve backache pain.
