If I have not gone to Beryl’s factory a few years back, I would still not know that Beryl’s chocolates are Malaysian-made. Beryl’s first factory was located in the southern zone of Kuala Lumpur in 1995. Since 1998, Beryl’s has moved to Seri Kembangan and developed their factory there. Now, the brand has two more factories. Everyone loves chocolate! Even people outside of Malaysia love Beryl’s chocolate. This brand can be found in over 15 countries around the world.

2) Dutch Lady

I am one of those who get confused about any Malaysian food brands. Not until a few years back, I did not know that Dutch Lady is a Malaysian-made product. It must be because of the name, that I thought that this product is from the Dutch. Interestingly, Dutch Lady was established in Petaling Jaya in 1963. Started as Dutch Baby, the production of baby food, now, Dutch Lady offers a variety of milk-based products. You can find milk powder, yogurt drinks, fresh milk, and UHT milk. Dutch Lady can also be found in Singapore, Vietnam, Brunei, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.

3) Life Sauce

When eating fries or any deep-fried food, we will surely want to dip them in the sauce. Be it chilli sauce or ketchup. But as Malaysians, we usually enjoy eating spicy food. The sauce under the Life brand is one of the most popular sauces that we can find in Malaysia. Each time we go to KFC, we will be provided with this sauce brand. Nevertheless, even though KFC originated in the United States, Life sauce was established under the Region Food Industries in 1978. Life sauce is now the largest sauce brand in Malaysia and is exported the sauces to many other countries. The countries include Singapore, Brunei, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, and many more.

4) Munchy’s

It all started when a group of experts in biscuit baking formulated their biscuits using a second-hand wafer stick machine. It was in 1991 in Batu Pahat, Johor. Nevertheless, two years later, in 1993, only then they decided to introduce their creation to the world. Starting from that point, Munchy’s has been loved by many, until now. It is the number 1 homegrown biscuit brand in Malaysia. Not only known in Malaysia, but more than 50 other countries are choosing Munchy’s as their snacks.
