Get To Know Ghanim Al-Muftah, A 20-year-old Qatari Stealing The Spotlight During The FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony

The FIFA World Cup fire still blazes days after it has begun. And what excites many people globally is the presence of Ghanim Al-Muftah, a 20-year-old Qatari Youtuber alongside Morgan Freeman.

Despite the colourful opening ceremony performed by many artists like Black Eyed Peas, Nora Fatehi and Jungkook of BTS, Ghanim steals many hearts with his beautiful Quran recitation.

Who is Ghanim Al-Muftah?

Ghanim was born on 5 May 2002 with a rare condition known as Caudal Regression Syndrome (CDS). Despite knowing his condition could regress his life, Ghanim doesn’t let that stop him from being an icon to many.

Although Ghanim is small, his dreams are big. He’s currently pursuing his university degree, tackling political sciences to reach his goal of becoming a diplomat.

Interestingly, his disability doesn’t hinder him from trying new things. Ghanim enjoys extreme sports like scuba diving, skateboarding and rock climbing.

His story and achievement

Sadly, some people came to Ghanim’s mother and asked her to consider aborting this talented child. However, she firmly stated, “I will be his left leg, and you will be his right leg.”

Additionally, Ghanim became Qatar’s youngest entrepreneur. What did he do? He’s the founder and owner of Gharissa Ice Cream, located in Qatar! Honestly, the question now is what Ghanim can’t do because he’s definitely doing everything!

With over 3.5 million followers on his Instagram (@g_almuftah), Ghanim happily shares a part of his life with the world, and everyone seems to enjoy watching this talented 20-year-old grow!
