Neymar Will Keep Playing For Brazil Despite Injury, Tite Affirms

It was heartbreaking for everyone who witnessed Neymar’s right ankle injury during the match against Serbia today.

As captured on camera, he was in tears on the Brazil bench after the match ended. Even though Brazil won 2-0 against Serbia, the team is wary of their future as their star player might not continue playing.

It was an intense battle between both teams. Neymar was subjected to nine fouls throughout the game. He was then replaced by Antony in the 80th minute after the hard tackle by Nikola Milenkovic.

The Brazil forward spent some time on the ground after he was tackled by the Siberian player, trying to withstand the pain.

The team trainers instantly treated Neymar with ice packs on the bench. After the match ended, Neymar limped to the Brazil locker room.

Rodrigo Lasmar, Brazil’s team doctor said, “The injury on his right ankle is a direct trauma. Due to the impact from the knee of the Serbian player, we started immediate treatment on the bench.”

He will continue with the physio sessions. However, they can only access the player’s injury after 24 to 48 hours.

Tite assures Neymar will keep playing

Despite the injury, Tite is certain Neymar will be fine to continue playing at the World Cup.

He calmly said, “We are confident he will continue playing. He will continue playing in the World Cup.”

An Italian Journalist, Fabrizio Romano, shared that the Brazillian player will likely continue playing for the team:
