Craig Holcomb, a resident of Lamar country resident, described the tornado as a train noise. He said to NBC-Dallas Fort Worth, ” All you could hear was a loud whistle, and I saw debris flying everywhere.” Luck was there for Holcomb and his wife as they safely took shelter in their bathtub.

A Powderly resident, Steven Roberts, said that he was on his way from work when he heard the tornado siren. His wife messaged him that the tornado was “on top of us.” Roberts was sad that he was not there to protect his family.
