Persis Solo Management is led by Kaesang Pangarep, President Joko Widodo’s youngest son as Chief Executive Officer, whose shares are also owned by billionaire and Minister of State-Owned Industries Erick Thohir.

Former assistant coach at JDT Leonardo Medina was on Sunday appointed as the club’s new coach and is now working to ensure the players’ physical aspects are in top condition.

“JDTFC is a big club, one of the most influential in Asia. Their achievement of winning the league in Malaysia with a good composition of local and foreign players is something that can be an example, “

On the other hand, the Indonesian League is still suspended by the government following the tragedy at the Kanjuruhan Stadium on Oct 1 which claimed 135 lives.

Police fired tear gas to disperse the crowd after the match between Arema FC and Persebaya Surabaya ended, sparking a stampede at the exit of the stadium as fans panicked.
