PLUS Announced The Closing Of North Ipoh – South Ipoh Lanes

PLUS will be closing the North Ipoh to South Ipoh lanes temporarily, tomorrow. PLUS informed the full closure of these lanes on their social media, including Facebook and Twitter. The reason for the matter is PLUS would be executing an emergency simulation exercise.

The closing of the lanes would begin at 10 in the morning and until 2:30 in the evening. PLUS advised travelers from Kuala Kangsar, Penang, or the north who are heading towards the south or Kuala Lumpur to plan their journey wisely.

Throughout the emergency simulation exercise, all travelers from the north or Kuala Kangsar will be diverted to the North Ipoh Plaza Toll Plaza. They will have to take the FT240 Jelapang-Ampang slip road. Besides that, travelers would continue by re-entering the South Ipoh Toll Plaza.

The emergency simulation exercise is to test the readiness and response from PLUS in managing emergencies on highways.

As stated by Datuk Zakaria Ahmad Zabidi, the Chief Operating Officer of PLUS, travelers’ safety is PLUS’ priority. Therefore, executing the exercise from time to time would help in terms of the preparedness of the PLUS team.

PLUS hoped that every traveler or highway user would follow the rules given by PLUS throughout the exercise.
