Terengganu FC Condemns Fans Violence After Defeat To Selangor FC

Terengganu Football Club (FC) has released a statement condemning the actions of their fans after last night defeat against Selangor FC. The club faced Selangor FC in a second-leg semi-final match at Stadium Mizan Zainal Abidin.

Its chief executive officer Ab Rasid Jusoh described the action as uncharacteristic of the Turtles’ supporters. The fans had no problems like this throughout the season.

He condemns the action of the fans that participated in the violence that occurred outside the stadium. Terengganu FC released a statement regarding the incident on their Facebook page.

“Regarding the incident of chaos caused by a handful of Terengganu FC supporters on the visiting team’s bus yesterday, the club management would like to express regret and condemn the actions taken.”

“This matter is seen to have also scratched the image of the club as well as other Terengganu supporters.”

Terenganu FC also took the opportunity to apologize to the Selangor FC for the incident.

“The club would also like to apologize to Selangor FC for the incident that has occurred and hopefully this will not happen again in the future.”

“Indeed, the few who have done this mess do not represent and reflect the image and personality of the entire supporters of this team.”

At about midnight, a group of fans hurled stones at the Selangor FC bus as it was leaving the venue. The fans smashed its windows and almost hitting some passengers, which included young children.

Moreover, Selangor FC will meet Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in the Malaysian Cup final. Furthermore, the match will take place on 26 November at Stadium Bukit Jalil.
