TM Technician Warns Not To Install UNIFI in These 3 Places At Home!

There are many Wi-Fi options that we can consider installing in our homes. TM’s UNIFI is one of the preferred choices by many Malaysians. It’s because an internet connection is a necessity for many today. Everything involves the internet, and it’s essential to install a router everywhere: in the office, home and other public places.

However, do you know there are three places at home where you can’t install the UNIFI?

@Unifi_Tanxy on TikTok has shared important info regarding the UNIFI installation at home.

So, where are the places you can’t install the router?

  1. Near the TV
  2. Near the Microwave
  3. In a closed area (in the store, basement or under the stairs)

You might ask, why?

Many Malaysians have been flooding Abang Unifi’s comment section. They are brimming with inquiries that need answers as fast as the 5GHz UNIFI connection offers!

If the technician has installed the router near the tv, what should they do?

He explained that it’s acceptable to install the router near the tv. However, the Wi-Fi’s reception would plummet instantly. It’s because the wave emitted by the tv could disturb the Wi-Fi’s frequency. Thus, the connection is there but not stable.

Where are the advised spots to install UNIFI?

In the following video, the experienced technician stated the preferable place to install the router is in an open space, for example, the living room.

Why is it advisable to install it there? He stated that it’s to get better Wi-Fi reception without disturbances from magnetic waves other devices would emit.

So, if you’re thinking of installing UNIFI in your home, avoid these three spots, as stated by Abang Unifi!
