Tourist Attractions In Malaysia That Will Make You Feel Like You’re Abroad!

Long holidays are nearing! Want to act like a tourist in your own homeland? Why not? Travelling abroad is sure fun, however, it will cost you energy, time, and of course, money! So, why don’t you try travelling around Malaysia? Low cost, but most importantly, it is worth it!

Some people may not know this, but Malaysia has many top attractions that people can enjoy. Some places are even described as ‘duplicates’ of other places, abroad! These are the seven tourist attractions that will make you feel like a ‘tourist’ even in your own homeland.

1) Colmar Tropicale

Who would have thought that Pahang could have this kind of tourist attraction? Colmar Tropicale is located at Bentong, Pahang. It started its opening in the year 2000. Do you know Colmar Town, a city in France? Colmar Tropicale and Colmar Town look the same, right? Interestingly, Colmar Tropicale is modelled after the town. Book a room, and enjoy your stay there. Those who did not wish to book a room could also enjoy the ‘French village.’ It is absolutely Insta-worthy!

2) Humble Hobbit Home

Calling out for The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings fans! Located in Kundasang, Sabah, Humble Hobbit Home brings you to the fantasy world. The place looks exactly like the set of the Hobbiton Movie Set, in New Zealand, except that you do not have to fly far. Just book a flight to Kundasang, drive for 2 hours from Kota Kinabalu, and you are now set! You could also catch the view of Mount Kinabalu from this humble abode.

3) Amanjena Resort

With the saying ‘Welcome To Beautiful Paradise, A Taste Of Greece,’ this place will surely make your day peaceful with its scenery. Only one and half-hour-drive from Kuala Lumpur, you will find yourself enjoying the breeze from the sea.

4) Sipadan Water Village Resort

You can find these houses over water in Mabul, Sabah. The architecture of the resort is based on the Bajau and Borneo cultures. Besides that, just like in the Maldives, you could enjoy the clear, blue sea during your stay. You could also enjoy the diving activity. Do not feel like diving? No worries, a wooden sidewalk is connected to your stay. You could take a walk and enjoy the magnificent scenery.

5) Tadom Hill Resorts

Tired of staying in a cemented-wall resort? Tadom Hill Resort is for you! Just drive for 45 minutes from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, and you will see the bamboo-built resorts in Banting, Selangor. Bamboo houses are traditionally accommodated by the aborigines. Interestingly, the majority of the resorts’ staff are the aboriginal people — the Temuan origin. What are you waiting for? Dive into the Temuan’s tradition and culture!

6) Permai Rainforest Resort

Located in Kuching, Sarawak, Permai Rainforest Resort is surrounded by the Borneo Rainforest and the tropical beach. Those who are tired of the hustle and bustle of the city could enjoy this place, especially nature lovers. Imagine yourself in the Amazon rainforest! You could also discover the wild by going jungle trekking. How fun is that?
