Authentic Halal Mala Mini Hotpot Dining Experience For All

Mala Mini Hotpot (MMHP) by XLK Group (www.xlkgroup.com.my) recently launched its first outlet in IOI City Mall, adding to its repertoire of food outlets serving authentic halal Sichuan mala to all Malaysians. Y.A.M. Tengku Sulaiman Shah Al-Haj ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Al-Haj, Y.A.M. Tengku Laksamana Selangor, who is Group Chairman of MMHP, graced the grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Also invited were Y.B Tuan Khairul Firdaus Bin Akbar Khan, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Zamriwalikram Bin Abd Ghani, MMPH Managing Director; and Datuk Wira Dr Calvin Khiu, Malaysia We-Media Association President, with attendance from the media, business partners and friends.

Serving premium halal-certified ingredients sourced locally and from Mainland China, it offers a dine-in experience completely immersed with all elements of Sichuan culture. Guests can look forward to the deliciousness and tongue-numbing flavours of mala to be paired with a wide selection of hotpot ingredients with different choices of meat, seafood, vegetables, noodles and more they can customise to their preferences, making each dining experience at Mala Mini Hotpot Premium Outlet a different one each time they visit. The hotpot broth recipe is specially made from imported spices like Sichuan Peppercorn and ingredients from Mainland China, bringing a whole new level of flavour to Malaysians.

At the same time, the outlet’s décor and authenticity in ambience will take one on a unique dining journey as if having a mala hotpot in Sichuan, China, itself. Topped with quality service, customers will keep coming back for more mala goodness at Mala Mini Hotpot Premium Outlet!

Already a key player in the mala dining trend, MMHP by XLK Group is also the founder of the popular Mala Mini Hotpot Express chain, the first mobile Mala Hotpot in Malaysia, a no-frills dining concept also using halal ingredients and processes for its mala offerings. Since introducing its first outlet in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur in July 2022, Mala Mini Hotpot Express has been very well received not only by Muslim diners but by all walks of life. Currently, there are five Mala Mini Hotpot Express located in the food court section of popular malls throughout Klang Valley – Aeon Shah Alam, One Utama, Alamanda, i-City Shopping Mall and Pavilion Bukit Bintang. Under the group is also a central kitchen, and state-of-the-art logistics centre with its headquarters located in Equine Park Trade Centre, Selangor.

“While there is a rise in mala hotpot restaurants, many are non-halal and therefore Muslim diners who are curious about this unique Sichuan cuisine aren’t able to enjoy it. The interest is definitely there in mala flavours, and this has been our motivating factor to bring not only the authentic flavours of mala but made from fresh, premium halal ingredients so that everyone in Malaysia can enjoy the cuisine,” says Y.A.M. Tengku Sulaiman Shah Al-Haj ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Al-Haj. Y.A.M. Tengku Laksamana Selangor.

Since introducing to Malaysians our halal Mala Mini Hotpot Express, we’ve been overwhelmed and blessed by the support and demand from our customers. Now, with the launch of the Mala Mini Hotpot Premium Outlet, we can offer an even more immersive dining experience of not just mala cuisine but the whole hotpot dining with friends and family. Hotpot may be popular with other cultures in Malaysia but it’s rare with Muslim diners. However, Malaysians are adventurous when it comes to food, not just in seeking out new flavours but also in experiences. We want to extend this experience of sharing good food and good times with loved ones over a steamy, delicious hotpot where it isn’t just about eating but more about getting together. Our Muslim diners – as well as others from other races and religions – can now experience something new altogether and not have to worry about the authenticity of the flavours and ingredients used at our restaurants, both at Mala Mini Hotpot Premium Outlet and Mala Mini Hotpot Express.”

True to its commitment to offering authentic mala flavours to all races in Malaysia, Mala Mini Hotpot by XLK Group is certified by the Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA) and The Malaysia Book of Records. With Mala Mini Hotpot’s unique licensing business model, the Asset Light Business Model, creates an attractive and strong value proposition that allows entrepreneurs to venture into the hotpot industry with low and reasonable capital, fast return on capital, high profits, and wide space of development. Furthermore, the group has also opened its second Mala Mini Hotpot Premium Outlet in Mid Valley Megamall recently, while plans are in motion to expand outside of Klang Valley with more premium and express outlets in the near future.
