Big Bang Daesung Leaves YG Entertainment After 16 Years, Will Still Remain As A Big Bang Member

Yesterday, the entertainment industry spiralled into a momentary shock when one of Big Bang’s talented vocalists, Daesung, parted ways with YG Entertainment after 16 years.

Initially, the group’s leader, G-Dragon and member Daesung discussed the future of their career, whether they would continue to be under YG’s supervision or start anew.

Daesung wants to start fresh

According to OSEN, he made a decision to leave the company. The singer, famously known as Dae, would like to seek vast opportunities outside one of the ‘big three’ entertainment companies in South Korea.

After the contract termination, Daesung would like to venture into a new start in his 16-year career.

He still remains a Big Bang member

Many fans are worried that Daesung’s departure from the company marks the end of his journey as a Big Bang member.

However, YG Entertainment clarifies that he will still be a member of the group. In fact, they will always support the singer from afar. The company also will not reject any form of cooperation with the singer.

VIPs wish Daesung all the best for his future

Many VIPs wish for Daesung to spread his wings further upon his leave from the company. They believe the singer will soar higher and be more successful than he already is with the freedom he gains from this departure.

Daesung becomes the third member to leave the company, the first being the group’s rapper, TOP, followed by Taeyang, who signed under The Black Label, a company affiliated with YG.

Their departures make G-Dragon the only Big Bang member to still be in YG Entertainment.

We will root for him and Big Bang’s success despite them being or not being in YG anymore.

Good luck with your next project, Daesung!
